چکیده
This study aims to determine the phylogenetic position of rotifer Brachionus sp. sample originated from Tumpaan coastal water, North Sulawesi in tree spp. 27 samples selected 100 available NCBI Genbank. The phylogeny was constructed on basis COI (Cytochrome Oxidase I) gene sequences using MEGA7 software and neighbor-joining method. Results show that divided into 2 clades, group (closely related group) out-group (distantly group). It is confirmed originating Coastal Water within group, which has closely B. plicatilis complex BUS06 indicated by a bootstrap value 80%. belongs SS-type rotifers with an average body size 149±1.3 μm. been known as live prey for fish larvae mouth-opening 150

Phytochemical content and antioxidant properties of colored and non colored varieties of rice bran from Minahasa, North Sulawesi, Indonesia
Two non colored and one colored rice varieties from Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, Indonesia were analyzed to determine the phytochemicals and antioxidant properties as natural antioxidant sources. Different brans of rice varieties divided into two groups: red rice and non colored (Superwin and Cigeulis) were macerated by ethanol (70%) and extracted with organic solvents (butanol, ethyl acet...
متن کاملMonogonont Rotifer, Brachionus calyciflorus, Possesses Exceptionally Large, Fragmented Mitogenome
In contrast to the highly conserved mitogenomic structure and organisation in most animals (including rotifers), the two previously sequenced monogonont rotifer mitogenomes were fragmented into two chromosomes similar in size, each of which possessed one major non-coding region (mNCR) of about 4-5 Kbp. To further explore this phenomenon, we have sequenced and analysed the mitogenome of one of t...
متن کاملMalaria in North Sulawesi, Indonesia
The incidence and impact of malaria in North Sulawesi have declined both in the short term during the 1990s, and over a much longer timespan (though perhaps less continuously) since the end of the colonial period. The improvement already seems to have been well underway before deliberate vector control activities became extensive in the second half of the 1970s, and environmental changes affect...
متن کاملAnalysis of Expressed Sequence Tags of the Cyclically Parthenogenetic Rotifer Brachionus plicatilis
BACKGROUND Rotifers are among the most common non-arthropod animals and are the most experimentally tractable members of the basal assemblage of metazoan phyla known as Gnathifera. The monogonont rotifer Brachionus plicatilis is a developing model system for ecotoxicology, aquatic ecology, cryptic speciation, and the evolution of sex, and is an important food source for finfish aquaculture. How...
متن کاملSpecificity of crowding response that induces sexuality in the rotifer Brachionus
Crowding induced the production of mictic (male-producing) females in Brachionus calyciflorus from two North American strains and an Australian strain. The specificity of this response to crowding was tested by culturing single individuals of a North American clone in three treatment conditions: a small volume (high density), a large volume (low density), and a large volume with a high density ...
